Urban public spaces from the standpoint of sustainable development

Abstract

In respect of ecological framework of the city, special place holds the issue of optimal solution for the urban public spaces on the three main levels: provision of the rational functioning in the general structure of the functional and planning city organization; creation of the spatial architectural accents in the body of the city and the development of the urban society’s communication. All the above mentioned is inseparable from the ecological optimization of the residential territories in the cities, where the innovative and far seeing approaches for the solution of the traffic problems have special significance.
